FTC Veteran To Lead Financial Practices Division

Law360, New York (December 20, 2011, 8:03 PM EST) -- The deputy director of the Federal Trade Commission's Bureau of Consumer Protection will take over as the head of a division that targets deceptive and unfair practices in the financial services sector, the FTC announced Tuesday.

Jessica Rich will become the associate director in charge of the Division of Financial Practices, a part of the Bureau of Consumer Protection, as of Jan. 9.

FTC Chairman Jon Leibowitz said as a 20-year veteran of the agency, Rich was exceptionally well-qualified for her new role.
