Spectra To Expand Gas Pipeline Network In Ohio

Law360, New York (December 21, 2011, 1:24 PM EST) -- Natural gas infrastructure company Spectra Energy Corp. on Wednesday introduced a plan to expand its Texas Eastern Transmission LP system to connect to Ohio's Utica and Marcellus shale gas supplies with help from American Electric Power Co. Inc. and Chesapeake Energy Corp.

The 70-mile extension, called the Ohio Pipeline Energy Network, would create an additional 1 billion cubic feet per day of transportation capacity on top of Spectra's existing 305 million cubic feet of natural gas storage in the region.
