GM Recalls 20,000 Cadillacs For Shifting, Parking Issues

Law360, New York (December 21, 2011, 8:10 PM EST) -- General Motors Co. is recalling nearly 20,000 Cadillac SRXs for shifting and parking problems and more than 3,000 Chevrolet Captivas for engine fire dangers, the company announced Tuesday.

Cadillac spokesman David Caldwell said about 10,000 SRXs, model years 2010 to 2011, are being recalled in China and about 9,000 are being recalled in the U.S. after the company discovered transmission shift cables might not be properly attached to the transmission brackets.
