Customs Sting Yields $80M In Counterfeit Goods

Law360, New York (December 22, 2011, 2:57 PM EST) -- Customs officials since November have confiscated more than $80 million in counterfeit merchandise and made 33 arrests as part of an extensive seizure operation conducted by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the agency announced Thursday.

ICE’s Homeland Security Investigations unit led a six-week-long campaign composed of hundreds of inspections of retailers in the U.S., Mexico and South Korea.
