J&J Targets 12M Bottles Of Motrin In Latest Recall

Law360, New York (December 22, 2011, 1:02 PM EST) -- A Johnson & Johnson unit said Wednesday it had launched yet another recall of pain reliever Motrin, this time calling back 12 million bottles from retailers after learning some caplets may be slow to take effect.

J&J subsidiary McNeil-PPC Inc. said it was pulling 59 lots of Motrin IB tablets and caplets that were distributed in the U.S., Puerto Rico, Bahamas, Fiji, Belize, St. Lucia and Jamaica. The callback marks at least the sixth recall of Motrin in less than two years.
