Hawkins Parnell Settles $1M Debt Suit With Researcher

Law360, New York (December 22, 2011, 9:55 PM EST) -- Hawkins Parnell Thackston & Young LLP on Thursday settled claims brought against it by consultant RJ Lee Group Inc. in Pennsylvania federal court alleging the law firm and an industrial talc manufacturer failed to pay for $1.2 million in asbestos research.

U.S. Magistrate Judge Maureen P. Kelly approved a stipulation of dismissal filed Monday. The order does not apply to the other defendant in the case, RT Vanderbilt Co. Inc.
