Gamesa To Provide Egypt With 100 Wind Turbines

Law360, New York (December 23, 2011, 12:02 PM EST) -- Gamesa Corp. Tecnologica SA has won a contract with Egypt's New & Renewable Energy Authority to supply 100 wind turbines to the country as it seeks to expand its nontraditional energy sources, the Spanish turbinemaker said Friday.

Gamesa, which has been working in Egypt since 2003, won the public tender offer to provide 200 megawatts of wind energy to projects on Egypt's Red Sea coast, the firm said in a statement without disclosing the terms of the deal. The project is being financed by Germany's kfW...
