Judge Sides With Welding Industry In Fumes Case

Law360, New York (July 16, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Welding rod makers accused of failing to warn of a link between welding fumes and a neurological disease have breathed a sigh of relief after a judge summarily tossed a case against them.

The dismissal of an Ohio welder’s complaint is the latest in a string of victories for the industry, which is defending thousands of federal and state product liability lawsuits over the rods.
