Paul Hastings Handles Exor's $294M Alpitour Sale

Law360, New York (December 23, 2011, 2:52 PM EST) -- Exor SpA, the investment arm of the Agnelli family empire, has sold tourism company Alpitour SpA to private equity firms Wise SGR SpA and J. Hirsch & Co. for €225 million ($293.5 million), the seller announced Friday.

Exor increased its investment in Alpitour from 1992 until it gained total ownership of the company in 2001 and expanded the business through strategic acquisitions, transforming it into a leading travel and resort company. Exor is pocketing roughly €140 million in profits on the sale, the firm said....
