Schumer Asks FDA To Review 'Aeroshot' Caffeine Inhaler

Law360, New York (December 23, 2011, 4:35 PM EST) -- U.S. Sen. Charles Schumer, D-N.Y., asked the U.S. Food and Drug Administration Thursday to review a new product called “Aeroshot,” which he said allows users to inhale 100 milligrams of caffeine and is nothing more than a “club drug.”

In a letter to FDA Commissioner Margaret Hamburg, Schumer expressed particular concern that the product was being touted as safe for children older than 12 and could potentially be used in conjunction with alcohol.
