Samsung, LG, Motorola Smartphones Targeted In IP Suit

Law360, New York (January 4, 2012, 1:56 PM EST) -- St. Clair Intellectual Property Consultants Inc. slapped Samsung Electronics USA Inc., LG Electronics Ltd. and Motorola Mobility Inc. with lawsuits in Delaware on Friday, claiming the companies' smartphones and tablets infringe its patents for computer power management.

The suits allege that the three smartphone makers were aware of St. Clair's patents, having come across them as prior art when applying to patent similar technology and encountered them in other litigation related to power management and when dealing with patent brokers.
