Law360, New York (January 4, 2012, 4:01 PM EST) -- Indiana Secretary of State Charlie White won his bid Wednesday to stay a state court judge's ruling that he was ineligible to run for office while he appeals it to a higher court, meaning he can remain in office for now.

Marion County Circuit Court Judge Louis F. Rosenberg's ruling comes in a civil case that the Indiana Democratic Party filed against White, claiming his alleged voter registration misstatements make him ineligible to hold office.
