GM To Upgrade Volt Coolant Systems After Fire

Law360, New York (January 5, 2012, 7:49 PM EST) -- General Motors Co. will upgrade the battery coolant system in all Chevrolet Volts in response to an investigation launched by federal regulators last year after a Volt caught fire following a crash test, the company said Thursday.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration opened an investigation into the Volt in November after one of the vehicles caught fire in an agency testing facility in June, causing physical damage but no injuries.
