J&J To Pay $1B To Settle Risperdal Civil Claims: Report

Law360, New York (January 5, 2012, 6:37 PM EST) -- Johnson & Johnson will reportedly pay more than $1 billion to settle civil claims made by the federal government and several states that it illegally marketed the antipsychotic drug Risperdal.

The settlement was reached last week, Bloomberg News reported Thursday, citing anonymous sources. Negotiations regarding the government's criminal investigation of J&J are still underway, according to the report.
