Samsung Can't Ban IPhone 4S Sales In Italy

Law360, New York (January 6, 2012, 5:34 PM EST) -- Samsung Electronics Co. has lost its bid to block sales of Apple Inc.'s iPhone 4S in Italy, after a Milan court rejected its move for a preliminary injunction, Samsung said Friday.

The South Korean conglomerate lodged its preliminary injunction request in October, citing two alleged patent infringements related to wireless telecommunications technology, specifically wideband code division multiple access standards for 3G mobile handsets.

Samsung expressed displeasure with the Italian court’s decision.
