Small Business Group Tells SEC To Relax Regulations

Law360, New York (January 6, 2012, 7:08 PM EST) -- A committee formed by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission to represent the interests of small and emerging companies voted Friday to recommend the agency loosen private offering regulations the committee views as outmoded.

The 14 members of the Advisory Committee on Small and Emerging Companies voted unanimously in a public meeting by conference call to suggest relaxing or modifying restrictions on general solicitation in certain private offerings of securities.
