Symantec Says Hackers Didn't Get Antivirus Source Code

Law360, New York (January 6, 2012, 9:41 PM EST) -- An Indian chapter of the hacker group Anonymous claims to have obtained the source code for Symantec Corp.'s Norton AntiVirus program, but the company said Friday that the group has found only old code and documentation.

“Contrary to media headlines, Norton AntiVirus code was not accessed, stolen or exposed,” Symantec spokesman Cris Paden told Law360 on Friday.
