Carlyle, SAIC Team With Enova On $225M Biomass Plant

Law360, New York (January 9, 2012, 11:36 AM EST) -- Science Applications International Corp. and a fund controlled by private equity giant Carlyle Group LP will finance a $225 million biomass power generation facility in Plainfield, Conn., owned by renewables developer Enova Energy Group LLC, the companies said Monday.

McLean, Va.-based SAIC will also provide engineering, procurement and construction services for the project, which will generate 38 megawatts — enough power for 37,000 homes — from wood debris, and Connecticut Light & Power utility will buy the plant's electricity, they said.
