US, Chinese Regulators Restart Audit Inspection Talks

Law360, New York (January 11, 2012, 8:22 PM EST) -- The U.S. and China on Wednesday resumed negotiations on allowing U.S. accounting regulators to inspect Chinese auditing firms that review the books of companies traded in the U.S.

Negotiators from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission met with their Chinese counterparts in Washington after an earlier negotiating session in the fall was canceled.
