More Countries Raise Alarm Over Faulty Breast Implants

Law360, New York (January 11, 2012, 7:59 PM EST) -- Health concerns over defective French-made breast implants grew this week as the health ministries of Iceland and the Netherlands issued warnings about silicone gel implants made by now-defunct company Poly Implant Prothese.

Health officials in the Netherlands urged the estimated 1,000 to 1,400 Dutch women who received PIP silicone gel breast implants before 2010 to immediately have them checked by MRI to determine if the implants are leaking and in danger of rupturing.
