GM Investigates Possible Piracy by Chinese Automaker

Law360, New York (November 12, 2003, 12:00 AM EST) -- General Motors is investigating the possible piracy of its Magnus car model by Chinese automaker Chery, the Financial Times reported Wednesday.

The Chery model being scrutinized is believed to be the Oriental Sun, introduced in July, according to the Financial Times.

The Magnus brand is developed by a South Korean unit of the U.S. company, GM Daewoo Automotive & Technology.
