DC Circ. Asked To Bar Entergy Units' Exit From Power Deal

Law360, Washington (January 13, 2012, 3:30 PM EST) -- The Louisiana Public Service Commission and the New Orleans City Council urged the D.C. Circuit on Friday to overturn a Federal Energy Regulatory Commission order allowing Entergy Corp. operating units in Arkansas and Mississippi to withdraw from a joint power agreement.

The FERC rulings allowed operating companies to back out of an Entergy system agreement that governs how the individual Entergy companies will work, and take their power generating facilities with them.
