SEC Whistleblower Office Adds Ex-Shearman & Sterling Atty

Law360, New York (January 17, 2012, 10:00 PM EST) -- The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission has named former Shearman & Sterling LLP lawyer and U.S. Secret Service special agent Jane A. Norberg as deputy chief of the Office of the Whistleblower, it announced Tuesday.

The office, which oversees the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act whistleblower program, helps handle whistleblower complaints and recommends to the commission whether an individual is eligible for an award.
