Australian Snack Maker Allowed To Use 'Nuckin Futs' Mark

Law360, Los Angeles (January 18, 2012, 7:12 PM EST) -- An Australian snack maker has won the right to name itself “Nuckin Futs” after a solicitor for the company argued the trademark wasn't offensive because the vulgar word it pokes fun at is commonly used in Australia, attorneys announced Wednesday.

The Australian Trade Marks Examiner agreed to accept the “Nuckin Futs” mark Jan. 12 under the condition that the company doesn't market products using the trademark to children, according to Pod Legal, the firm representing the company.
