Senate Panel Holds On To Post-Grant Patent Review

Law360 (July 20, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Two days after the House Judiciary Committee passed a bill aimed at overhauling U.S. patent law, its Senate counterpart followed suit on Friday by passing its own version of the bill—but the once-identical bills have emerged from committee markups with important differences.

Most notably, the bill that passed the Senate Judiciary Committee 13 to 5 includes a provision on post-grant review of patents, while the House bill does not.
