VA Must Pay Veterans In Agent Orange Suit: Court

Law360, New York (July 20, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- In a stinging rebuke to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, an appeals court has ruled that the VA must pay retroactive benefits to Vietnam veterans who were exposed to Agent Orange and contracted leukemia, saying that the VA has “contributed substantially to our sense of national shame.”
