Canada Calls For Review Of Teck's $23B Oil Sands Project

Law360, New York (January 20, 2012, 4:01 PM EST) -- Amid concerns over the possible destruction of fish habitats, the Canadian government is seeking additional information on Teck Resources Ltd.'s proposed 280,000-barrel-per-day Alberta oil sands mining project, which Environment Minister Peter Kent referred Thursday to an independent panel for a full environmental assessment.
