Pa. Superfund Site Owner Settles Cleanup Suit For $13M

Law360, New York (January 20, 2012, 7:42 PM EST) -- A federal judge on Wednesday approved a consent decree requiring CDS Investment Co. to pay the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection some $13 million for cleanup of a federal Superfund site near Exton, Pa.

U.S. District Judge Cynthia Rufe signed off on the settlement, resolving claims brought by the U.S. government in September under the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act and the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act.
