Citgo Sulphur Dioxide Suit Moved To Federal Court

Law360, New York (July 20, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A personal injury suit against Citgo Petroleum Corp. brought by two women who allege that they were harmed when a Citgo facility spewed toxic chemicals into the air—on the same day in 2006 when 71,000 barrels of oil were spilled into Lake Charles from a Citgo refinery—has been removed from state to federal court.

The lawsuit, lodged on behalf of Celeste Ann Harris and Sandra Harmon, popped up on the docket for the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Louisiana on Wednesday.
