GE Slapped With $4M Asbestos Decision

Law360, New York (July 20, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A jury has handed a $4 million decision to the families of three former workers at a Bethlehem Steel Corp. factory whose fatal lung cancer was allegedly caused by asbestos-laced brakes supplied by General Electric Co.

The verdict came down on Friday, according to the Associated Press. The families had accused GE of strict liability and negligence for the brakes, according to Michael T. Edmonds, the plaintiffs' lead attorney.
