Honda, Suzuki Fined €4M In Spanish Antitrust Probe

Law360, New York (January 24, 2012, 3:57 PM EST) -- Spain's competition watchdog fined the Spanish motorcycle units of Suzuki Motor Corp. and Honda Motor Co. Ltd. almost €4 million ($5.2 million) on Friday after it found the two automakers had violated competition laws by illegally sharing sensitive business information.

Spain's National Competition Commission, or CNC, slapped Honda with a €2.1 million fine and Suzuki with a €1.9 million fine after its council found the two companies had exchanged emails providing each other with detailed information on wholesale prices of motorbikes.
