DuPont Says Kolon Destroyed Docs In Kevlar Antitrust Suit

Law360, New York (January 24, 2012, 9:34 PM EST) -- DuPont Co. sought Tuesday to toss Kolon Industries Inc.'s Virginia federal court case alleging DuPont monopolized the Kevlar fiber market, arguing Kolon deliberately destroyed “highly relevant documents” in a case stemming from a trade secrets dispute that led to a $919.9 million jury verdict against Kolon.

DuPont claims Kolon "deliberately destroyed relevant evidence" and failed to issue a litigation hold tied to the antitrust allegations it first filed in April 2009 in response to the Kevlar trade secrets case. That meant documents were lost or destroyed...
