Crescent Point Nabs Rival Oil Co. Wild Stream For $603M

Law360, New York (January 25, 2012, 1:41 PM EST) -- Crescent Point Energy Corp. has agreed to buy most assets of rival Calgary, Alberta-based oil producer Wild Stream Exploration Inc. for about CA$611 million (US$603 million), Crescent Point announced late Tuesday.

The move will add to Crescent Point's already substantial exploration activities in oil-rich southwest Saskatchewan, the company said. Crescent Point anticipates acquiring about 5,400 barrels of oil equivalent per day of Wild Stream's current production, 91 percent of which shares a border with Crescent Point's operations in the Shaunavon and Battrum/Cantuar areas of southwest Saskatchewan....
