Occidental, Bridgestone Settle For $2M Over Polluted Pa. Site

Law360, New York (January 25, 2012, 8:28 PM EST) -- Occidental Chemical Corp. and Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations have agreed to pay $2.1 million under a settlement reached with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency over cleanup costs for a polluted Pennsylvania industrial site, the agency announced Wednesday.

The companies also accepted responsibility for all future cleanup costs under a consent decree filed in federal court, according to the agency.
