FTC Gives Go-Ahead To $1.5B Oracle, RightNow Merger

Law360, Los Angeles (January 25, 2012, 7:30 PM EST) -- The Federal Trade Commission on Wednesday cleared the way for Oracle Corp.'s $1.5 billion dollar acquisition of RightNow Technologies, ending an inquiry by the U.S. Department of Justice's Antitrust Division that sought more information on the deal.

The FTC granted early termination of the DOJ antitrust review following Oracle's October announcement that it planned to acquire RightNow, which provides cloud-based customer service technology.
