Last Gulf Lease Sale Under DOI Program Set For June

Law360, New York (January 26, 2012, 3:20 PM EST) -- The U.S. Department of the Interior's Bureau of Ocean Energy Management on Thursday set a June 20 date for the last Gulf of Mexico oil and natural gas lease sale under a five-year DOI program, designed to include unleased areas offshore Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama.

The consolidated Central Gulf of Mexico Lease Sale 216/222 will take place in New Orleans and include all available unleased properties in the so-called Central Planning Area, the Obama administration said.
