Regulator Blasts China's Product Safety Measures

Law360, New York (July 24, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- China has failed to respond to complaints about product safety made by European Union member states, providing only two reports on product regulation since last May, according to European Commission regulators.

European Commission Consumer Commissioner Meglena Kuneva said on Tuesday that although China agreed last spring to issue a report every three months on the status of product complaints by member states, the nation has drafted only two such reports.
