New Policies To Boost US-Japan Trade Relations

Law360, New York (January 27, 2012, 2:10 PM EST) -- The U.S. government on Friday announced a series of trade policy guidelines designed to improve trade conditions and communications technology compatibility between the U.S. and Japan that have been adopted since the countries embarked on a cooperation initiative in 2010.

The Office of the U.S. Trade Representative said the two countries and trade partners have, since beginning discussions through the U.S.-Japan Economic Harmonization Initiative, come to terms on numerous policy points that will expand trade and promote job creation across the Pacific.
