UAE Lifts Limits On American Beef Imports

Law360, New York (January 30, 2012, 7:07 PM EST) -- The United Arab Emirates is opening its doors to U.S. beef imports after a three-year ban imposed because of mad cow disease scares, a leading beef exporter said Monday.

Belcamp, Md.-based United Source One, a food service distributor to more than 10 foreign markets, said the U.S. consulate in Dubai, U.A.E., on Sunday alerted food export industry officials of a Jan. 24 decree ending an import ban on American beef products from cattle more than 30 months old.
