Enviros Take Aim At Taylor Energy Over 7-Year Oil Spill

Law360, New York (February 2, 2012, 8:55 PM EST) -- Waterkeeper Alliance and other Gulf Coast environmental groups sued Taylor Energy Co. LLC in Louisiana federal court Thursday for allegedly allowing an oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico to continue unabated for more than seven years.

According to the groups, an undersea landslide in the aftermath of Hurricane Ivan set off the oil spill in September 2004, destroying a Taylor drilling platform in the Gulf of Mexico and burying up to 28 wells.
