Wheelchair Fraud Prevention Programs To Launch In June

Law360, New York (February 3, 2012, 6:38 PM EST) -- The federal agency overseeing Medicare announced Friday that it will launch two delayed fraud prevention pilot programs in June, noting that it made significant changes to one program focused on power wheelchair fraud after an outpouring of complaints from the industry.

The two pilot programs, known as demonstrations, are designed to prevent fraud and abuse in Medicare payments, according to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
