US, Mass. Vet Interest In New Offshore Wind Farm

Law360, New York (February 6, 2012, 2:36 PM EST) -- Federal and Massachusetts officials issued a call on Monday for commercial lease nominations that could lead to the development of a proposed wind farm project off the state's coast.

The Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, together with the commonwealth of Massachusetts, announced it was officially assessing commercial interest in the project, which could be located within an estimated 1,300-square-mile swath of sea 12 miles from Martha's Vineyard and 13 miles from Nantucket.
