MP3 Players By Apple, Others Infringe Playlist IP: Suit

Law360, New York (February 6, 2012, 4:15 PM EST) -- Apple Inc., Koninklijke Philips Electronics NV and Creative Technology Ltd. were sued in Delaware federal court Friday, alleging the MP3 player manufacturers infringed a patent covering playlist technology.

Tyler, Texas-based Smart Audio Technologies LLC lodged three separate suits targeting Apple, Phillips and Creative Tech over allegations the companies infringed patented playlist technology through their MP3 products.
