House GOPs Train Fire On Unions' Political Contributions

Law360, New York (February 8, 2012, 9:53 PM EST) -- House Republicans on Wednesday blasted the use of union money for political activities and called for more oversight and transparency on how union dues are used for political purposes.

At a House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform hearing, lawmakers clashed over whether there were enough rules governing unions' political activities, and whether unions should be allowed to use dues collected from members for political means.
