Canadian Watchdog To Bolster Merger Review Transparency

Law360, New York (February 6, 2012, 6:52 PM EST) -- Canada's antitrust watchdog plans to begin releasing more information about the transactions it reviews in a bid to boost the transparency of the country's merger control efforts, the regulator said Monday.

The Canadian Competition Bureau said it would start issuing monthly reports providing details about who seeks reviews of transactions in the country and how the agency's investigations pan out.
