Judge Slams Antitrust Watchdog Over Gas Price Case

Law360, New York (July 27, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- An Australian federal judge has reportedly assailed the country's competition regulator over its handling of a doomed price-fixing case against a group of gas station operators.

Justice Peter Gray, who dismissed the lawsuit in May, said the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission had “put its blinkers” on when reviewing its own petrol price data, according to a report in the Age newspaper.
