Judge Denies Discovery In Natural Gas Antitrust Case

Law360, New York (July 27, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- In a victory for Coral Energy Resources LP and Chevron Corp., a federal judge on Thursday ruled that the City of Moundridge, Kan. could not request additional discovery for those companies in an ongoing antitrust suit over natural gas price-fixing.

The two companies had previously been part of a suit brought by eighteen municipalities that accused the energy giants of violating antitrust laws by agreeing to artificially inflate the price of natural gas and engaging in price discrimination.
