CPSC Comes Under Fire For Staff Cuts

Law360 (July 27, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A commissioner with the Consumer Product Safety Commission issued a dire warning on Thursday, cautioning that the agency may soon lack the staff needed to adequately protect the public.

Veteran CPSC commissioner Thomas Moore said in a statement that the agency's career civil servants, who oversee the safety of the country's consumer goods, are suffering from low morale.
