Scrushy Appeals Bribery Conviction To Supreme Court

Law360, New York (February 10, 2012, 6:26 PM EST) -- Jailed HealthSouth Corp. founder Richard Scrushy asked the U.S. Supreme Court last week to weigh in on his conviction in an alleged bribery scheme involving former Alabama Gov. Don Siegelman, saying the case breaks new legal ground.

In a Feb. 6 petition for a writ of certiorari, Scrushy assailed an Eleventh Circuit opinion that last year upheld much of his conviction.
