Purell Parent Sues Bath & Body Works Over Bottle Design

Law360, New York (February 13, 2012, 6:49 PM EST) -- The maker of Purell sued Bath & Body Works Brand Management Inc. on Friday in Ohio for allegedly stealing a patented bottle design for hand sanitizer.

GOJO Industries alleges Limited Brands Inc. and subsidiary Bath & Body Works sold their own cleansing products using an ornamental bottle design that the plantiff has been using for its Purell brand of sanitizer, for which GOJO received a patent in June 1999.
